This topic describes how to record voice files, load VU scripts using the CLI, and configure a customized automatic switchboard access code to enable the automatic switchboard to play custom announcements. Then the system plays the custom announcements to users who make calls to the automatic switchboard.

To enable an automatic switchboard to play custom announcements, a user must record the customized voice files for an automatic switchboard and load them to the unified gateway. Custom announcements can be recorded in three ways.

Enterprise A wants to set its automatic switchboard announcement as "Thanks for calling XXX (company). Please dial the extension number. To query numbers, please dial 0. To learn about the company's business, please dial 1. To leave a message, please dial 8. To listen to the announcement again, please dial 9. To return to the previous menu, please press the pound key."
