On X1911/X1960/X1981 users can replace the existing voice package with a new one so that customized voice files in the new voice package are automatically loaded.
Phone system announcements (for example, "Connecting to message service now") are automatically played when conditions are met during a call.
By default, the X1900 series unified gateway provides system announcements in Chinese (mandarin). The voice packages listed in the following table are also delivered with the product version. You can load a corresponding file package of the phone system announcements to switch the announcements to the desired language for the X1900 series unified gateway.
The X1900 series unified gateway supports Italian announcements in the V2.0 and later versions.

If the preset announcements cannot meet onsite requirements, you can create and load audio files as default announcements.
If a voice package delivered with the product version can meet the requirements, rename the voice package voice.zip or mrsvoice.zip for future use.
The voice package name of X1911/X1960/X1981 is voice.zip.
To replace all audio files, perform the following steps:
1.Record phone system announcements for the channels by referring to custom demand.
For details about mapping between voice contents and channel IDs, see the Audio File List. Note the following when preparing audio files:
ϒ⁄The codec is G.711a.
ϒ⁄The announcement recorded is in mono.pcm format.
ϒ⁄The sampling rate is 8 kHz, sample precision is 8 bit.
ϒ⁄The size of a single voice file cannot exceed 256 KB. The recording duration can last at most 32s for both of them.
The size and duration of a voice file that is created and loaded by using professional software are different from those of a single voice file that is recorded by professional software:
To make and load all voice files, replace the entire voice package to replace the customized voice file. The size and duration of a single voice file are small. The voice file recorded by the professional software is the voice file that is not contained in the audio file table. After the voice file is loaded.
ϒ⁄The recorded audio file must be named after the channel ID. A new voice file will replace the old one if they are in the same channel. Therefore, you need to be cautious when selecting a channel number. It is recommended that you back up the old voice.zip or mrsvoice.zip file before making a new voice.zip or mrsvoice.zip file.
ϒ⁄In the automatic switchboard service, if a user does not press the pound key (#) after dialing a number according to the announcement, the call waiting duration may be long. To avoid this issue, the announcement played needs to prompt users to press the pound key. For example, the announcement "Please dial the extension number" needs to be changed to "Please dial the extension number followed by the pound key".
2.Perform the following steps to make the recorded announcements into a voice.zip or mrsvoice.zip package.
Refer to the following procedure for compression. Do not compress it into a .zip file using a common compression tool.
Dial #79*N# as a user who has the agent rights to verify that the announcement for voice channel N is the recorded custom announcement. An agent can hear the announcements for all voice channels.
