Configuring the Access Code for the Automatic Switchboard

The automatic switchboard access code is the automatic switchboard number, which is dialed by a user to connect to the automatic switchboard.

1.Use an administrator account to log in to the web management system of a X1900 series unified gateway.

2.Choose Trunk Management > Called Prefix Configuration.

3.Click Create.

4.Configure the access code 28887888, as shown in Figure 1.

The access code (28887888 in this example) must be different from user numbers. If the access code is the same as a user number, the call to the number is routed to the user, not the switchboard.

Script name

Select the customized automatic switchboard script under System > VU Management > Customized automatic switchboard configuration.

VU loop

Whether to play the automatic switchboard announcement upon a failure to call an extension. For details, see Configuring the Cyclical Automatic Switchboard.

VU outgoing right

Whether a call that is made by dialing the automatic switchboard number and an extension number can be forwarded to an outer-office number. It is recommended that you do not configure DDD or IDD to prevent an outer-office user from dialing an automatic switchboard number to forward an extension that is a toll call.

5.Click OK.

6.In the upper right corner of the web page, click Click to enlarge to save the configuration.
