This topic describes the procedure for verifying the IP-phone console service and expected results.
Prerequisites
ϒ⁄The IP-phone console service has been configured.
ϒ⁄Data for verifying the IP-phone console service has been collected. For details, see Data Plan.
Procedure
1.Attendant 1 picks up the phone and presses memory key 1 (or programmable button 1) to sign in to the console terminal group to which the attendant belongs.
The system plays an announcement indicating a service registration success.
ϒ⁄If a phone has registered two or more console terminal numbers, the attendant needs to press the corresponding line key before pressing memory key 1 (or programmable button 1).
ϒ⁄The attendant can also dial *65*Console terminal access code# to sign in to the console terminal group and dial #65# to sign out when using the POTS or no memory keys (or programmable buttons) for sign-in and sign-out are configured.
2.Intra-office user 6001 dials the console terminal access code 7777.
The phone of attendant 1 rings.
3.Attendant 1 answers the call.
4.Intra-office user 6002 dials the console terminal access code 7777.
The system plays the announcement "The operator is busy now, please wait for a moment."
The maximum waiting time is 1 minute. If the waiting time of a customer expires before the customer is put through, the system plays the announcement "The number you dialed is busy now, please hang up and redial later" and releases the call of this customer. The customer needs to call again.
5.Attendant 2 signs in to the console terminal group before the waiting time of user 6002 expires.
The phone of attendant 2 rings and the calling number displayed is 6002.
6.Attendant 2 answers the call.
