Record announcements on both the central and local nodes. Table 1 lists the two recording modes.

Configure Points

PSTN users dial the recording prefix.

1.Configure the recording prefix, authentication account, and password on both the central and local nodes. For details, see Procedure. The recording prefix on the central node must be different from that on the local node.

2.Set Record Channel in Network Mode to Center on the local node.

When users routed to the office dial the recording prefix configured on the central node, the central node starts the recording process. Since a recording prefix is configured on the local node, the local node preferentially starts the recording process when users routed to the office through the local node dial the recording prefix configured on the local node.

Intra-office users dial the recording prefix.

1.Configure the recording prefix, authentication account, and password on both the central and local nodes. For details, see Procedure. The recording prefix on the central node must be different from that on each local node.

2.Set Record Channel in Network Mode to Center on each local node.

3.Configure the recording prefix configured on each local node as an outgoing prefix on the central node for routing calls to the local node.

When intra-office users dial the recording prefix configured on the central node, the central node starts the recording process. When intra-office users dial the recording prefix configured on a local node, the calls are routed to the local node, which then starts the recording process.
