The Busy Lamp Field (BLF) feature allows users to subscribe to the status (idle, call in progress, ringing, or offline) of others using the programmable buttons on the IP phone. Before making a call, the calling party can know the status of the called party. If the called party is not idle, the calling party waits until the called party becomes idle. This helps improve the call success rate.
