This topic describes how to troubleshoot the low fax quality.
The symptoms are as follows:
ϒ⁄Images and words are unclear.
ϒ⁄The fax is sent successfully, but the peer party can only receive part of the pages.
The possible causes are as follows:
ϒ⁄The network quality does not meet the requirement.
ϒ⁄The unified gateway is not grounded.
ϒ⁄The clock source has not been configured.
1.See Network Analysis check whether the network meet fax service requirement.
ϒ⁄If no, change the cables to check whether the fault is rectified.
ϒ⁄If yes, go to the next step.
2.Connect the ground ling of unified gateway to check whether the fault is rectified.
ϒ⁄If the network connection is abnormal, verify that the network cables are connected properly.
ϒ⁄If the network connection is normal, go to the next step.
3.See E1/T1 Trunk Exception whether the clock source is configured.
4.If the fault still persists, collect detailed fault information and related logs by referring to Collecting and Reporting Fault Information and send them to the service provider.
