This topic describes how to enable users connected to the unified gateway to use the same numbers when they switch phones.
When using their phones, users hope to continue to use their previous numbers when their terminals switch locations.
This topic assumes that user A whose number is 7000 switches from position 1 to position 2 where user B whose number is 7001 locates. User A wants to still use number 7000. The procedure is as follows:
ϒ⁄User A and user B use UScale 7910 IP phones.
1.Modify data configured on user A's phone.
a.Log in to the web management system.
b.Choose Advanced > Account.
c.Click .
The Edit Account dialog box is displayed.
d.Change user A's number 7000 to another number that does not exist, such as 8000, and click OK.
2.Configure data on user B's phone.
a.Log in to the web management system.
b.Choose Advanced > Account.
c.Click .
The Edit Account dialog box is displayed.
d.Change account data to that of user A and click OK.
ϒ⁄User A and user B use UScale 7850 IP phones.
1.Delete data configured on user A's phone.
a.Open Internet Explorer, enter the IP address such as 192.168.104.15 of user A's phone in the address box, and press Enter. The phone login page is displayed.
b.Enter the user name and password and click Confirm.
c.Click Account to delete configured user data, as shown in Figure 1.
d.Click Confirm.
2.Configure data on user B's phone.
3.User A and user B are connected to an IAD
a.Open Internet Explorer, enter the IAD IP address such as 192.168.10.12 in the address box, and press Enter.
The system login page is displayed.
b.Enter values of User name and Password and click Login. The IAD WEB Management System page is displayed.
c.Choose SIP Service Configuration > FXS User. The configuration page is displayed.
d.Select users with numbers 7000 and 7001, and click Clear. After the data is cleared, the location with the original number 7000 is now numbered 7001, and the location with the original number 7001 is now numbered 7000.
e.Click OK.
4.User A and user B are connected to different IADs.
a.Perform steps 1 through 2 to log in to the two IADs.
b.Clear the data of user A and user B on the two IADs to which phone A and phone B are connected. After the data is cleared, perform 1 to 2 to set the number to 7001 for the location with the original number 7000 on the IAD of phone A, and set the number to 7000 for the location with the original number 7001 on the IAD of phone B.
