Local Voice Playback Scenario 1

Scenario

The headquarters and branch use different automatic switchboard numbers. When intra-office users call the automatic switchboard, the voice playback function is provided by the central node. When external users call the automatic switchboard, the voice playback function is provided by the local node.

Figure 1 shows the scenario.

Procedure

1.Set the voice playback source to Local on the local node and headquarters access gateway.

a.Use an administrator account to log in to the web management system of the local node and headquarters access gateway.

b.Choose System > Network Mode.

c.Configure the voice playback source for the automatic switchboard.

ϒ⁄When the voice playback source is set to Local, the local node provides the voice playback function for the automatic switchboard.

ϒ⁄When the voice playback source is set to Center, the central node provides the voice playback function for the automatic switchboard.

2.Add the automatic switchboard number on the central node.

Normally, intra-office users are registered with the central node, and all calls are processed by the central node. Intra-office users at the headquarters dial 28882999, and intra-office users in the branch dial 28885999. Therefore, you need to configure automatic switchboard number 28882999 of the headquarters and automatic switchboard number 28885999 of the branch on the central node for processing calls from intra-office users to the automatic switchboard.

a.Use an administrator account to log in to the web management system of the unified gateway on the central node.

b.Choose Trunk > Called Prefix Configuration.

c.Add prefixes 28882999 and 28885999.

ϒ⁄Set Service type to Virtual user.

ϒ⁄Set Call property to Automatic switchboard.

ϒ⁄Use default values for other parameters.

d.In the upper right corner of the web page, click Click to enlarge to save the configuration.

3.Configure automatic switchboard number 28882999 of the headquarters on the headquarters access gateway.

When users at the PSTN side of the headquarters call the automatic switchboard of the headquarters, the voice playback function is provided by the headquarters access gateway.

4.Configure automatic switchboard number 28885999 of the branch on the local node.

When users at the PSTN side of the branch call the automatic switchboard of the branch, the voice playback function is provided by the local node.
