Configuring the Unified Gateway

1.Enable the distinctive ringing tone function.

You can use the distinctive ringing tone service after the distinctive ringing tone function is enabled.

a.Use an administrator account to log in to the web management system of the X1900 series unified gateway.

b.Choose User->SIP User to enter the SIP user page, and click Click to enlarge next to the user to be modified.

c.In the Modify SIP User page, set Distinctive ringing tone to Yes.

In versions earlier than V2.0, the default distinctive ringing tone function is enabled; V2.0 version and later versions, the default distinctive ringing tone function is disabled.

Run config add sipue command to enable the distinctive ringing tone function and run config modify sipue to modify the distinctive ringing tone function. For details, please refer to UScale X1900 V2.0 Command Reference.

2.Run the command config add ringtype to add a ring tone type. Table 1 lists the parameters.

When an intra-office user makes an intra-office call, the peer phone rings in specified mode.

NormalRing

local

Ring tone type of a local call. The ring tone types are the same as the eight listed types.

centrex

Ring tone type of a call in the group. The ring tone types are the same as the eight listed types.

CentrexRing

callback

Callback ring tone type. The ring tone types are the same as the eight listed types.

1.Run the command config modify subscriber to set the user ring tone type. Table 2 lists the parameters.

User number.

ringtype

Index of a ring tone type, which ranges from 0 to 255. If it is set to 255, the distinctive ring tone service of the user is disabled.

2.Run the save command to save the configuration.

Configuring IP Phones

1.On the home page, choose Apps > Pref. > Ringtone.

The Ringtone page is displayed.

2.Set Default, Internal, or External as required.

The settings of Internal and External take effect only when the ring tone type is configured for the user number corresponding to the IP phone is configured on the unified gateway; otherwise, the ring tone specified by Default is played.
