Feature Definition

When user A uses a phone to send a call request to user B's phone, a voice call is initiated. When user B answers the call, a voice call is set up. Either party can end the call at any time.

The user who initiates a call request is the calling party. The user who answers the call is the called party.

In a voice call, either the calling party or the called party must be a PBX user.

ϒ⁄If both parties are PBX users, the voice call is an internal call.

ϒ⁄If only one party is a PBX user, the voice call is an external call. In an external call, a trunk is used to connect to the peer switch and then to the other party.

Typical Scenarios

[Scenario 1] Internal call

PBX user A wants to make a call to PBX user B. User A picks up the phone and dials user B's number. User B's phone rings. User B picks up the phone. A call is then set up between user A and user B. Both user A and user B can end the call at any time.

[Scenario 2] External call

1.Outgoing call

PBX user A wants to make a call to external user B. User A picks up the phone and dials user B's number. The PBX forwards the call through a trunk based on predefined routing rules. User B's phone rings. User B picks up the phone. A call is then set up between user A and user B. Both user A and user B can end the call at any time.

2.Incoming call

External user B wants to make a call to PBX user A. User B picks up the phone and dials the switchboard number of user A followed by user A's extension number or directly dials user A's long number. User A's phone rings. User A picks up the phone. A call is set up between user A and user B. Both user A and user B can end the call at any time.
