This topic describes the possible causes for the unified gateway startup failure and the handling measures.

Symptom

The unified gateway startup failure and all services are unavailable.

Possible Cause

The unified gateway version file is damaged or does not exist.

Procedure

To rectify the fault, proceed as follows:

1.Start the TFTP service on the server corresponding to hostip of the unified gateway.

2.Obtain the unified gateway version software and put the software to the TFTP directory.

TFTP/FTP/HTTP has security risks, pay attention to data security during the use and disable the protocol immediately when it is no longer used.

3.Access the unified gateway through the serial port.

4.Power cycle the unified gateway to restart the unified gateway.

5.Load the latest backup Data.bin.
