videotelephony

Videotelephony allows you to see the other caller or the background during a video call, with the help of the camera in the other caller's handset. Videotelephony is only available on the 3G network.

view mode

A CLI command operation mode under which the user can run the show command and common CLI commands, such as clear, help, list, and exit.

Virtual Local Area Network

An end-to-end logical network that can travel through several network segments or networks by using the network management software based on the switch LAN. The IEEE 802.1Q is the main standard for the virtual LAN.

Virtual User

A virtual user provided by the unified gatewaysystem. The VU function helps to play personalized announcements for the automatic operator service and call conference service.

Voice over IP

An IP telephony term for a set of facilities used to manage the delivery of voice information over the Internet. VoIP involves sending voice information in a digital form in discrete packets rather than by using the traditional circuit-committed protocols of the public switched telephone network (PSTN).
