IAD

See Integrated Access Device

incoming call queuing

To queue the incoming calls by time when all the attendants in the attendant group are busy. When an attendant in the group becomes free, this attendant answers the earliest call in the queue.

incoming trunk group

A trunk group used to receive voices or signaling from the peer device.

Indicator

Description of a performance feature collected from the managed devices by the performance collector.

inductance coupling

It is a transformer model implementing coupling through a space high frequency alternating magnetic field, which is based on the law of electromagnetic induction.

Instant conference

When no conference is reserved, the host can hold an instant conference by calling other subscribers.

Integrated Access Device

An Integrated Access Device is an access node that can simultaneously deliver Class 5 switch voice services, packet voice services, and data services (via LAN ports) over a single WAN link. IADs provide a common platform that enables service providers to deliver voice and data over a single access network reducing the cost of co-located equipment in the Telco central office and allowing service providers to least fewer transport spans.

Integrated Services Digital Network

A network defined in CCITT, providing comprehensive transmission service for the voice, video, and data. The ISDN enables the voice, video, and data transmission on a small number of data channels simultaneously, thus implementing a comprehensive transmission service.

intelligent routing

It is a routing mode in which a call is forwarded to a predefined address due to the registration of a forwarding service (such as call forwarding unconditional, call forwarding busy, call forwarding unreachable, or call forwarding no reply).

Interactive Voice Response

A telecommunications system which uses a prerecorded database of voice messages to present options to a user, typically over telephone lines. User input is retrieved via DTMF tone key presses.

internal call recording

The IVR recording flow helps record a call between internal subscribers, a call when an internal subscriber calls a PSTN subscriber, and a call when a PSTN subscriber directly calls an internal subscriber. With internal call recording, the calls of internal subscribers are monitored.

intra-office prefix

The identical preceding one or multiple digits of the extensions in an office.

IP Contact Center

A contact management system which gives growing businesses the flexibility to compete with larger industry players.

IPV6

IPv6 is the Internet Protocol of the next version. It is widely agreed that this is the protocol of the next generation Internet. An IPv6 address consists of 128 bits. It emphasizes the end-to-end IP connection, QoS, security, multicast, mobility, and plug-and-play.
