This topic describes the preparations required for emergency maintenance.

Table 1 lists the items that need to be prepared during the normal running of the unified gateway. You can also refer to the items to make preparations for recovering the unified gateway when an emergency fault occurs.

A list of device IP addresses, user names, and passwords used for quick access to each device. If the passwords cannot be listed on paper for security reason, remember them.

Maintenance information

Remote maintenance information

Remote connection mode, user name, and password.

Software and tool

Installation CD-ROMs, serial number, and hardware tools of the current version.

Telephone number of the agency, and mobile phone number, email address, and fax of the maintenance director.

Redundancy or temporary devices in the system, such as the standby file server.

Method for contacting the manufacturer, device serial number, and warranty terms and conditions.
