This topic describes the precautions to be taken during emergency maintenance. These precautions ensure personnel and device safety, reduce the loss incurred by faults, and mitigate the impact of faults.

To improve the efficiency of handling emergency faults and to minimize loss, take the following precautions when handling emergency faults:

ϒ⁄Emergency maintenance aims to quickly restore services and the proper running of devices. Therefore, to improve the efficiency of rectifying emergency faults, you are advised to prepare handling schemes for emergency faults and to periodically review and practice the schemes.

ϒ⁄Before performing emergency maintenance, take necessary training and be equipped with the following skills:

§Having basic knowledge of network devices and operating systems

§Understanding the logical structure of the unified gateway components and onsite devices, and physical connections between onsite devices

§Understanding the unified gateway system structure and be skilled in operating the unified gateway components.

§Being proficient in identifying, locating, and rectifying emergency faults in unified gateway, and be able to practically use these methods to perform emergency maintenance.

ϒ⁄Stay calm and locate the faulty module before restoring services.
