This topic describes how to obtain the Equipment Serial Number (ESN) of the unified gateway and apply for a license from OpenVox. According to the obtained license, the system determines the number of users to be allocated, number of concurrent users in an audio conference, number of SoftConsole clients, number of concurrent voice mailboxes, and the permission of local survival.
Unpacking and goods inspection have been performed upon delivery.
1.Obtain the ESN of the unified gateway.
ϒ⁄Method 1 (recommended): View the label on the unified gateway. The first 20 digits of the bar code indicate the ESN, as shown in Table 1.

ϒ⁄Method 2: Log in to the web management system and choose System > License information to view the ESN. For details about how to use the web management system, see Logging In to the Web Management System.
2.Based on the contract and ESN, visit http://app.OpenVox.com/isdp, and apply for the license.
The unified gateway provides the license that supports the following number of users. When you apply for a license, it is unnecessary to cover these users. If there are any problems, contact OpenVox technical support.

ϒ⁄The user license for other models is the default license. After a new license is loaded, the total number of allowed users is determined by the new license.
ϒ⁄The initial conference license for other models is given as a bonus. After a new license is loaded, the total number of allowed conferences is the sum of the pre-configured number and the purchased number.
3.Rename the license file that is obtained.
Rename the license file license.dat.
