OpenVox's IP Phone

POTS phone

In this document, POTS phones connect to the system using OpenVox's X1900 series unified gateways or integrated access devices (IADs).

ϒ⁄The  IAD S196, and IAD S1224.

ϒ⁄The X1900 series unified gateways refer to the X1911, X1960,  and X1981.

ϒ⁄The X1900 series unified gateways refer to the X1911,  X1960,  and X1981.

Desktop Client

Desktop Client is used on a computer running Windows operating system.

Mobile Client

Mobile Client is used on Android devices and iPhones.

User Types

The UC solution has two types of users: POTS and SIP users.

ϒ⁄POTS users: refer to users of POTS phones directly connected to the X1900 series unified gateways .

ϒ⁄SIP users: refer to IP phone users, users of POTS phones connecting to the system through IADs, and soft terminal users.

Configuring Simple Services

ϒ⁄Enabling services for a single number

1.Log in to the web management system of the X1900 series unified gateways as the administrator.

2.Choose User > SIP User or User > POTS User.

3.Select a number for which you want to enable services, and click Service Configuration.

4.In the Simple service area, select services to enable and click OK.

ϒ⁄Enabling services for multiple numbers in batches

1.Log in to the web management system of the X1900 series unified gateways as the administrator.

2.Choose User > SIP User or User > POTS User.

3.Select multiple numbers for which you want to enable services, and click Service Configuration.

4.In the Simple service area, select services to enable.

5.Select On and OK.

To disable services for multiple numbers, select Off.
