Configuring the Automatic switchboard for dialing the switchboard number and extension number together

This topic describes how to change the automatic switchboard access code settings and set software parameters so that a user can directly make a call to an extension number without being transferred by the switchboard.

Prerequisite

The automatic switchboard has been configured by default or with the function of customizing prompt tones.

To avoid incorrect number analysis, ensure that the value of minlen for the automatic switchboard access code is the same as the length of the automatic switchboard access code.

Procedure

A user can dial the automatic switchboard access code plus an extension number, for example, 28887888+81000, to directly make a call to an internal user.

1.Log in to a X1900 series unified gateway using the CLI and access the Config mode.

2.Enable soft parameter 306.

config softargu type 306 value 1

3.Run the save command to save data.

Make a call to an extension number.

Pick up the phone and dial 2888788881000.

The call is connected.
