The following notes apply to both scenarios.

ϒ⁄When user A barges into the call between users B and C, the announcement "A member joins the call." is played to users B and C.

ϒ⁄The barge operation is applicable only to a point-to-point (P2P) voice call.

ϒ⁄If only one of users B and C has the barge override permission, and user A barges into the call based on the number of the user who has the barge override permission, user A hears the announcement "Sorry, we're unable to process your operation for the new service right now." and the call between users B and C continues.

ϒ⁄If only one of users B and C has the barge override permission, and user A barges into the call based on the number of the user who does not have the barge override permission, user A hears the barge tone, and a three-party call starts.

Barging into the Call of an Intra-Office User as an Agent

This scenario assumes that user A is an attendant, the barge service has been enabled for user A, user B is an intra-office user whose number is TN, and user C is an intra-office or outer-office user.

Users B and C are talking on the phone. User A dials *80*TN# to barge into the conversation, and the three-party conversation starts. Each party hangs up the phone, the call of the other two parties continues normally.

ϒ⁄To revoke the barge service permission, run the config modify subscriber dn dn usertype Operator operatenewservice del newservicerights OperatorInsert command.

ϒ⁄To assign the barge override service service to a user, run the config modify subscriber dn dn operatenewservice Add newservicerights OperatorOverstep command.

Barging into the Call of an Intra-Office User on a Specified Unified Gateway Using a SIP Trunk Number

User B (number: TN) on unified gateway 2 and user C (an intra-office user on unified gateway 2 or an external user) are in a call.

User A on unified gateway 1 dials *80*TN# to barge into the conversation, and the three-party conversation starts. Each party hangs up the phone, the call of the other two parties continues normally.

To configure the barge override permission for user B so that user A cannot barge into calls of user B, run the config modify subscriber dn dn operatenewservice Add newservicerights OperatorOverstep command.
