Backing Up the Configuration File

To ensure system stability, it is recommended that you back up the configuration file each time before the version upgrade or configuration change. The backup configuration file can be used to restore the system in case of any system faults.

Reference Standard

Maintenance personnel need to back up the configuration file periodically.

ϒ⁄It is recommended that the configuration file be backed up once every week during off-peak hours (for example, 2:00–4:00 am).

ϒ⁄Do not perform the backup operation when any other operations are being performed. During the backup, do not change the host IP address (hostip).

Procedure

1.Select "System Management > Data Management", click "Backup" and then "Download".

2.Check the backup file.

a.After successful download, please check the backup file.

b.Archive the configuration file for emergency recovery.

Troubleshooting

If the configuration file is not generated in the backup directory, check the setting of hostip and check whether any other operations are being performed.
