This topic describes the security precautions that you must be familiar with before performing routine operation and maintenance.

Network Security

ϒ⁄Ensure that only authorized personnel have access to devices.

ϒ⁄Do not access untrusted external sites using the terminals on a local area network (LAN) to prevent unauthorized access and viruses.

System Security

ϒ⁄Take electrostatic discharge (ESD) measures. For example, wear ESD wrist straps when replacing device parts.

ϒ⁄Control the use of network services.

ϒ⁄Regularly monitor the network status and ensure that access is authorized.

ϒ⁄Periodically change user passwords. Passwords must meet complexity requirements.

ϒ⁄Do not restart the system at will. If an emergency fault occurs, contact your agents or OpenVox technical support engineers.

ϒ⁄Excise caution when performing risky operations mentioned in this document.

Data Security

ϒ⁄Periodically back up system data by sticking to backup plans.

ϒ⁄Record detailed problem information if you encounter any problem during maintenance.
