This topic describes the traditional PBX and the traditional PBX interworking scenario.
The traditional private branch exchange (PBX) uses the circuit switching function to provide internal call services.
The traditional PBX interworking allows the traditional PBX users to reduce costs and enjoy more services. The interworking between the unified gateway and traditional PBX provides the voice over IP (VoIP) and other supplementary services for original traditional PBX users.
Original PBX is short for original traditional PBX in the following part of this document.
