This topic describes the unified gateway connection scenario and data plan in a multi-node centralized call management network for the unified gateway two-node cluster.
Configure data to implement the following objectives:
ϒ⁄Intra-office calls can be made by dialing short numbers between IP phones, POTS phones, and fax machines at the headquarters, branch 1, and branch 2.
ϒ⁄Incoming and outgoing calls can be made after the active node is connected to local nodes through SIP trunks and after local nodes are connected to the PSTN through PRA trunks.
ϒ⁄The active and standby unified gateway nodes can work in active/standby mode. When the active node is faulty, the standby node can take over users' service requests.

ϒ⁄After the active and standby nodes are added, the system automatically creates the SIP trunks, office route selection codes, and office routes for the active and standby nodes. ϒ⁄If the U1980 functions as the local node, you need to manually create the SIP trunk, office route, and office route selection code in versions earlier than V200R003C20SPC200; in V200R003C20SPC200 and later versions, the system automatically creates them. |

ϒ⁄a: indicates the cyclic redundancy code (CRC) for the unified gateway. The CRC must be the same as that of the peer device. ϒ⁄b: ensures that the value on the local device is different from that on the peer device. |

Table 6 Call sources

Call Source |
Remarks |
|
Active node |
1 |
Users at branch 1 belong to call source 1. |
Configures call rerouting analysis. When a user at branch 1 dials prefix 9 to make an outgoing call, the call is rerouted to local node 1. |
2 |
Users at branch 2 belong to call source 2. |
Configures call rerouting analysis. When a user at branch 2 dials prefix 9 to make an outgoing call, the call is rerouted to local node 2. |
|
Local node 1 |
1 |
The SIP trunk from local node 1 to the active node and standby node belongs to call source 1. |
Adds SIP trunks from the local nodes to the active node and standby node to call source 1. When a local node processes a call from this call source, the local node changes the call attribute of local regeneration prefix 288 to inter. |
Local node 2 |
1 |
The SIP trunk from local node 2 to the active node and standby node belongs to call source 1. |
Adds SIP trunks from the local nodes to the active node and standby node to call source 1. When a local node processes a call from this call source, the local node changes the call attribute of local regeneration prefix 288 to inter. |
